The Way of a Woman

I am not wrong for expressing absurd thoughts,
for thinking obscurely,
emotionally, provocatively.
I am not wrong for wanting to walk alone on the street without fear.
I will not apologize for being a woman.

Women are powered with emotion, sensuality,
and soft peaceful wishes.
We do not force, argue, battle, or diminish by nature.
The act of fighting against any inequality of our rights may be against our nature.
Let us be who we truly want to be,
stand up if we want but sit quietly abiding if we choose.
Let the men continue to act on their foolishly primitive urges to our powerful allure if they wish.
Let us all do as we please in peace,
male or female,
with respect.
